SIS is your one-stop shop for everything from registering for classes to checking your grades. Think of it as the central hub for all your student-related activities at UVA. You can log in to search for classes by semester, get help with SIS features, or explore course offerings and campus maps. Within SIS, you can monitor your enrollment status and review your academic performance. Need to register for a course, submit a petition to the board of examiners, or apply for your degree certificate? SIS is where you'll handle these tasks. This ID, a username assigned to all students, faculty, staff, and sponsored accounts, allows you to log in via NetBadge to UVA systems and services such as UVA email, SIS, Workday, UVaCollab, and UVABox. Schedule Builder, a feature within SIS, is a particularly helpful tool. This video demonstrates how to use it to "build your schedule" within SIS at UVA. Remember to use your Computing ID to log in via NetBadge to access UVA systems and services like UVA email, SIS, Workday, UVaCollab, and UVABox. Without proper authorization, university staff cannot discuss your UVA finances with anyone but you. Students can follow specific steps to set up an authorized user. Simply select "Finance Center" and then click on "UVAPay."

Accessing your UVA Gmail account is also straightforward: use your Computing ID and UVA password to log in via NetBadge. For alumni and students who entered UVA before December 1, 2021, Gmail is still in use. UVA ITS (Information Technology Services) provides detailed instructions on how to claim and access your SIS account, Computing ID, and University ID. After receiving an email from [email protected], follow the instructions to activate your account and create a UVA password. You can sign in with your UVA email address or UVaNetID. If you're a student or employee having trouble logging in, there are resources available to help.

Make sure to complete your enrollment checklist before August 31st. If your study program starts on September 1st, ensure your enrollment is finalized by the August 31st deadline. NetBadge serves as a digital badge, granting you access to protected resources on the UVA network. Log in with your UVA digital certificate to utilize these resources. Password management is crucial for security. Reminder emails will be sent 30 days before your password expires, and the gray bar above provides a link to reset your UVA password, which must be reset every 60 days.

For those who prefer other languages, you can access SIS to manage your academic information at the University of Virginia in languages other than English. Email remains the school's official means of communication with all School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) faculty and students.

Setting up your UVA email account is a prerequisite for accessing SIS. The steps involve obtaining your UVA Computing ID, generating a system-provided UVA password, and then establishing access to your UVA email. Current UVA faculty, staff, and students can use NetBadge to log in. When making payments, please make the check payable to the University of Virginia and include the student's University ID number on the memo line. Payments can be mailed to University of Virginia Student Payment Processing, P.O. Box 400204, Charlottesville, Virginia 22904. For express delivery services that cannot deliver to P.O. boxes, alternative arrangements may be necessary.

UVA is also committed to enhancing the learning experience through UVACanvas, its central Learning Management System (LMS). Instructors have shared their experiences transitioning to this new platform, setting up their course sites, using UVACanvas tools and integrations, and receiving support from Canvas and UVA's Learning Technology Services team ([email protected]).

UVA is actively improving its apps for students and consolidating more information on student.uva.nl in languages other than English as well..
